About the Author:

My name is Chris O'Regan AKA Kropotkin and I'm from London, UK. I have been playing video games of some sort since 1978 when i first encountered a Pong machine in Margate (small town in the south coast of the UK) when I was a wee nipper. Over the years I took the usual route that most older gaming folk will recognise i.e. Pong machine -> Intellivision (spare me the 'rich kid' remarks!) -> ZX81 -> ZX Spectrum -> Atari ST ->Sega Master System (can we forget that bit?) -> Amiga -> PC -> PSone etc -> Previous Gen -> Current Gen. I like to think therefore I know a thing or two about video games. Rather that blind you with a mass words from hell here's some snippet headlines for those with ADD:

Favourite game ever ever EVAH!!!!1111SHIFTONE111!

Elite. Oh don't look at me like that come on! It's the only game that had me utterly gripped than even to this day I simply can't think of another game that captured my attention for so long!

Phase used most often whilst playing a game

Sorry! Usually said after shooting someone in the head thanks to an accidental team kill in a FPS. Other than that It's normally 'Can I play?' usually uttered when being beaten roundly by some 13 year old screaming loon on an online game.

Least favourite thing about video games

Locked features. I have no desire to have to play the game for 4589879234 hours in order to see more than a fraction of the game. It's annoying. Only applies to racing and other such titles. RPG's are forgiven on this one.

Favourite thing about video games

They can take you to places you can never even dream of. Even Swidon. OK perhaps not but you know what I mean.

What gaming's most pointless argument?

FPS on consoles and how they don't work. Of course they do. They have done since Goldeneye, let-it-go.

What consoles do you own?

Name it I probably own it. Well except obscure Japanese hand helds like the Wonderswan. Oh and Binatone Pong machine. Oh and that nasty Amstrad console thing that bombed like a 3DO which I also don't own. I do have all the current gen machines.
